Theatre Performance

Do you dream of being onstage, telling powerful stories, and bringing characters to life? The Theatre Performance Track will help you develop your acting , movement, voice, and stage presence through hands-on experience and productions.

Requirements for completing the CAPA Theatre Performance Track:

  • 28 Approved Credits  - See below.​
  • 100 Volunteer Hours  - Every CAPA student is required to put in 100 community service hours between freshman and senior year (an average of 25 per year,) either into the school, or other arts organizations around the state. Talk to your Main Track Teacher with any questions about what does or does not count. CLICK HERE for the Volunteer Hours Tracking Sheet. ​
  • Yearly Requirements
    • ​Participate as a performer, crew member, or audience member in ALL Cottonwood Theatre productions (Fall Musical, Melodrama, Broadway Revue, Spring Play, Competition Showcase, Spring Musical, Beginning Theatre Play, Intermediate Theatre Play, Advanced Theatre One Act Festival, and at least one Improv Show.)
    • Participate as a performer, crew member, or audience member in at least one Choir concert, one Instrumental Music concert, and one Dance concert.
    • Participate in Theatre Competition as a performer, design competitor, timer, music-player, or crew member. 
    • Attend UTA DramaCon.
