Dance
Main Track Instructor - Angela Gagliardi

If your favorite way to express yourself is through movement, then you belong in the Dance Track!  You’ll train in various techniques and dance styles, build strength and artistry, and have access to exciting performance opportunities!

Requirements for completing the CAPA Dance Track:

  • 28 Approved Credits  - See below.​
  • 100 Volunteer Hours  - Every CAPA student is required to put in 100 community service hours between freshman and senior year (an average of 25 per year,) either into the school, or other arts organizations around the state. Talk to the Artistic Director (Maddiey Howell) with any questions about what does or does not count. CLICK HERE for the Volunteer Hours Tracking Sheet. 
  • 40 Hours of Logged Studio, Workshop, Recreational, or Camp Dance Experience - Completed between freshman and senior year.
  • Participate as a performer in at least one Cottonwood Dance concert each year.
  • Participate as an audience member in at least one Choir concert, one Instrumental Music concert, and Theatre performance each year.
